Free Third Thursday - June 16th, 2011

Join us for a special FREE “Third Thursday” program this June.  Several free guided hikes and animal encounters!

At 7 pm, we will have a special discussion with author Matt White, writer of Prairie Time.

A guided hike will be available every hour starting at 8 am.   The final hike of the day starts at 3 pm*. 

*instead of hikes at 11 am and 1 pm, the hikes will start at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm

 Animal Encounters!

Perfect for children of all ages.  Meet the animals of the Trinity River!  Animal Encounters are scheduled at 11 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm.

Join us for a Girl Scout Silver Project! The event will include activities that cover recycling, pollution, mammals, and a nature hike.

YOUR MISSION…SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT: EXPLORE THE NATURE OF NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS THIS SUMMER WITH YOUR FAMILY!

Join the mission that will connect your family with our local environment. Accept the challenge! You will have 17 weeks to visit as many participating parks and nature areas, view native wildlife, dip your feet in creeks, rivers, and draw and write about your observations while learning more about nature and science!

 Registration for Summer 2011 Starts in March!

For Kids entering K - 5th grade $198/child for members ($220 for non-members)

Experience summer fun and learning at Trinity River Audubon Center. Our summer camps are like none other nestled in the Great Trinity Forest, we offer a 120-acre outdoor classroom and a state-of-the-art nature center along the Trinity River just 8 minutes from downtown Dallas.

At Audubon Summer Camp, your children will be outside, enjoying hands-on learning and exploring the wonders of nature. We’ll hike, study wildlife,
learn outdoor skills, create nature art, and conduct field experiments while learning more about our amazing north Texas home. Our experienced and
caring educators will nurture your child’s love of nature, while having lots of fun in the great outdoors.
